The Subaru Impreza has a distinctive power-train and is available in all wheel drive, equipped with extra traction for slippery conditions. On higher-horsepower models, the traction functions in conjunction with the Impreza's well-organized chassis to provide excellent handling. Powered by its unique horizontally opposed 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder engine, the Subaru Impreza makes 170 horsepower and is available as either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.

Subaru Impreza standard features include sunroof, heated front seats, and automatic climate control, symmetrical all-wheel drive, a choice of four to five body styles, and Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC).
