What a Check Engine Light Means

Your check engine light can mean a lot of different things. This is because it’s controlled by the computer rather than by a specific sensor. Every sensor in your fuel system reports to the computer, giving it feedback on how things are going. If something is out of normal boundaries, your sensors send a report to the computer with a code, and that code is logged in the computer while the computer turns on the check engine light. All in all, the check engine light means that you should go and get your car diagnosed as soon as you can.
